Narrative design


I had a course in narrative design at FutureGames. It’s assignment was about creating a character for a hero shooter. As I haven’t played any games in that genre, it was a bit challenging, but I really like to do it anyway. As the teacher gave a bit of leeway when creating the character, and as I have a big interest in history, I decided to put the character in an (alternate) historical setting – civil war Finland, which was during World War I. The result became a nun with explosives who pays back for the crimes the Red Guards did to her homeland and family. The teacher liked it and gave me the highest grade.
